| Pitti Uomo 84 is redrawing the map of contemporary menswear and of the fair itself, focusing even more on the products and looks that are leading today’s markets. From the brands featured in the Main Pavilion, through the collections at Futuro Maschile, Touch! and L’Altro Uomo to I Play, the newest addition to the roster, men’s fashions find their most perfect, innovative and market-oriented showcase in Florence. One of the major innovations at this edition is that Pitti W will be moving to a strategic location on the Fortezza grounds, in ever closer synergy with the Pitti Uomo sections presenting the most cutting-edge looks. There will be about 1010 brands at Pitti Uomo. As proof of the fact that Pitti Uomo is becoming increasingly international we can say that that our foreign exhibitors – from 30 different countries – account for nearly 40% of the vendors. This international scope is also reflected in the buyers: of the more than 30,000 visitors who attended the last summer edition of the fair, nearly 18,000 were buyers representing the world’s major large and small retailers. | Pitti W is moving to the Fortezza da Basso! |

"In step with the latest market trends that demand ever-earlier presentations, over the years Pitti W has made a name for itself as the strategic playing field for starting the game early and showing capsule collections, installations and special projects for women’s fashions right at the start of the season. Now, in June, Pitti W is stepping onto a new pitch and moving to the Fortezza da Basso. The exact location will be the Arena Strozzi, a strategic point among the sections that present the most cutting-edge looks featured at Pitti Uomo - Futuro Maschile, Touch! and L’Altro Uomo. This step has met with great consensus on the part of our exhibitors. This revamped Pitti W will be putting research and scouting in center field, with a sharp focus on the product lines, an increasingly diversified future-oriented offering targeting high-end boutiques and department stores. The layout, designed by Oliviero Baldini, will include striking installations and contaminations inspired by Vroom Pitti Vroom, the main theme for this season’s editions of the fairs. And, the temporary events at Alternative Set will contribute to making the atmosphere event more vibrant”.

"We will be talking about motorcycles, the pleasure and passion of two wheels the feeling of freedom and fun it is to ride and drive them. We will talk about styles and lifestyles. Naturally, we will talk about the clothes and accessories that are part of the biking world. Bending into curves and pleated pants, silk and wrenches, fine linens and oil stains on the ground, studs and sport, denim and high tech fabrics, leather, helmets and velvets. Vroom Pitti Vroom: at Pitti Uomo, this coming June, you will hear the roar of the bike and fashion”.

"Over the past few seasons kolor’s classic, distinctive fluidity and lightness had developed into a mature project and become the heart and soul of men’s collections that are more structured and look at the men’s wardrobe with intelligence, precision and a touch of humor. We are fascinated by Junichi Abe’s determination in developing his brand, and in building a solid commercial venture on the basis of a very precise personal inspiration that has little interest in chasing mainstream fashion trends”

"In his recent collections Damir Doma’s vibrant austerity and clean lines have paved the way for a new, more colorful and sensual energy that speaks to women’s daily lives. We are very interested in these developments, in the way the strong initial aesthetic and cultural base continues to leave its mark on the designer’s creative experience, yet leaves aside self-referencing and prepares the terrain on which to meet the market".
