PENINSULA GARDEN by TOM DIXON'S DESIGN RESEARCH STUDIO Greenwich Peninsula, SE10 0SQ This Spring sees a new public green oasis coming to London in the form of uniquely designed Peninsula Garden. Tom Dixon’s Design Research Studio, in collaboration with landscape gardeners Alys Fowler and Thomas Hoblyn, will unveil their first outdoor project at Greenwich Peninsula. In addition to the open green spaces, an amphitheatre, inspired by the geometry of the Giant’s Causeway will programme a diverse calendar of events and a year-round programme for theatre, music, cinema and performance. “The opportunity to work in the landscape, rather than within an architectural space has challenged us to think on a different scale and provided us with a new palette of materials that change with the season and are subject to the wind, rain and occasional British sunshine. The design of the garden peels back the layers of history, exposing the forms of the original mud flats, reintroducing apples from the market gardens and a palette of material from its industrial and nautical past.” – Tom Dixon GOLF DRIVING RANGE 1st July 2015 Greenwich Peninsula, SE10 0SQ Opening 1st July 2015, a new state of the art 60-bay golf driving range in London, created as a joint venture between Knight Dragon Developments and N1Golf.
