"Symmetries”
The collection takes its inspiration from a second nature – definitely
urban, with geometrical shapes full of poetry and subtle hints revealed
in the silk.
The photographs of the prints – made by Daniel Vazquez in different
cities – are distorted following the purest psychedelic tradition ,
making the urban soul become apparent in the fabric itself and turning
each piece of clothing into a second skin.
It comes as a reflection about the doors of perception created through
symmetries and the cold sensuality of straight lines.
Futuristic aesthetics merged with counter culture touches from the 70’s
and midway between design, visual fantasy and the chromatic elegance of
the choice of colours.
Ana is based in Cádiz, Spain. She studied at Fashion Design in the School of Applied Arts, Cádiz and graduated in 2004. Her collections are produced in Spain.
Born in Cádiz, South of Spain, Ana Sánchez graduated in Fashion
Design in the School of Applied Arts, Cádiz, and Industrial Design
Pattern in Barcelona.
Over the course of the last years Ana, always on a quest toward the
latest impulses, felt compelled to experiment with new projects in the
fashion and art world. She created and became the director of the SOUTH
36-32N THE NEW FASHION LATITUDE, a fashion festival that also
incorporates international modern art tendencies. The festival features a
more experimental approach to the emerging avant-garde fashion and a
more open-minded commercial vision of the actual market of young Spanish
fashion designers. These factors majorly influence the style of Ana´s
recent collections which are slightly more risky yet equitable whilst
respecting the calls of the recent fashion market. Press/image NOT JUST A LABEL | |
