SWISS Business and SWISS First passengers on long-haul flights will enjoy the airline’s culinary programme SWISS Taste of Switzerland. Menus on board will bear the stamp of the prestigious Beau-Rivage hotel’s Michelin-star restaurant: le Chat Botté, which overlooks Lake Geneva and faces both the Jet d’Eau fountain and Mont-Blanc.
From early June to the beginning of September, passengers travelling with SWISS will have the opportunity of discovering one of the finest restaurants in Geneva. Indeed, Business and First Class passengers will be delighted to try meals created by Michelin-star chef Dominique Gauthier’s, who has also been awarded 18 of 20 possible points by GaultMillau. An exceptionally talented chef, Dominique Gauthier combines simplicity with respect for classic traditions.. Composed of authentic local products, his creations will unquestionably please SWISS guests thanks to their beautiful Mediterranean colours and flavours. Geneva winemakers have pride of place To marry fine dining with great wines is never an easy task. And since viniculture fills Geneva’s countryside (over 250 passionate winemakers produce high-quality wines each year), a special selection has been made to have pride of place in SWISS Taste of Switzerland. In First Class, the following wines will be offered: the white wine « Trésor de la Cave de Genève » in Satigny and the red wine «L’esprit de Genève » from the Domaine des Charmes in Peissy. In Business Class, the white wine will be the « Chassenote Blanche » from the Domaine du Paradis in Satigny while the red wine served is a « Baron Rouge » from the Domaine des Charmes in Satigny. Canton Geneva on board European flights Not only passengers on long-haul services will have the opportunity to savour culinary delights from the Geneva region. SWISS passengers flying in Business Class on selected flights within Europe will also be able to enjoy regional specialities as part of the SWISS Traditions concept, which, as the name suggests, is designed to familiarize the airline’s guests with the customs and traditional of Switzerland. During a two-week period in summer the city of Geneva celebrates “Fêtes de Genève”, one of the cultural highlights of the season. The mouth-watering delicacies served on board between 9 and 22 July are include an appetizer of smoked char on fennel salad, followed by grilled beef with Lyon potatoes or artichoke ravioli and a dessert of lemon cream. | |
