Pavillon 3 in Piazza VI Febbraio in Milan hosted the first edition of Super, the new fair featuring women’s accessories and prêt-à-porter organized by Pitti Immagine and Fiera Milano in cooperation with the Assessorato Cultura, Moda and Design of the Municipality of Milan and with the support of CityLife.
Considering the success of this first edition, we can say that Super has truly made its mark amongst international fashion fairs with its original format and awareness of what the market wants and needs. From the first impression of the pavilion and its design, exhibitors, buyers and the press all perceived a different atmosphere, freshness and innovation. Furthermore, we have to mention the nearly 5,000 buyers (close to 20% came from abroad) who viewed and admired the offerings from the 240 featured brands, and above all booked orders.
There was a well-balanced and punchy mixture of contemporary fashion presented by known brands, up-and-coming names and new designers: from quality accessories (ranging from sophisticated to trendy) to super-select prêt-à-porter collections (sophisticated designs, researched materials, an awareness of modern developments in sustainability) and all with viable quality/price ratios.
All of this took place inside Pavilion 3, an extraordinary venue that was further enhanced by Peter Bottazzi and Denise Bonapace who designed the layout with the large concentric ellipses which immediately became the symbol of a fair that has moved beyond traditional formats.
The atmosphere was charged with positive energy supported by the quality of the participants. The vendors have confirmed that the fair was attended by representatives from the best retailers, from concept stores to high-end department stores. Furthermore, the exhibitors have expressed their satisfaction with the event, even in terms of orders taken.
