These are the character traits of SUPER, the Pitti Immagine and Fiera Milano trade fair devoted to women’s accessories and prêt-à-porter, the next edition of which will be held from Saturday 28 February to Monday 2 March 2015, inside Pavilion 3 at FieraMilanoCity - Viale Scarampo / Gate 5.The protagonists of this edition will be 200 Italian and foreign brands, with their women’s collections for fall-winter 2015-16.

“We have reached the fifth edition of SUPER”, says Agostino Poletto, deputy general manager of Pitti Immagine, “and can fully confirm the identity of the exhibition project and the role that it has carved out for itself on the women’s fashion scene.  The results of the last edition – 6,500 buyers and a +18% rise in attendance – demonstrate once again the validity of the SUPER format which we try to evolve every six months, whilst keeping a careful eye on the demands of the market.  Our team has worked hard to select a balanced proposal of contemporary fashion, with established brands, capsule collections, emerging names and new designers.  As always it did so thinking of a target group of buyers who are looking for freshness, international inputs and who have good product awareness.  As always, the focus on accessories is always a driving force and reference: on the one hand, we have exclusive, high-end retail lines and, on the other, young brands with products that are interesting from the marketing standpoint and are featured by select retailers. Alongside of these are collections by known brands, established firms with a strong image – some of which have been showing at SUPER since the very first edition. And then, thanks to the scouting we do each season to find the most interesting and emerging talents who will be making the “fashions of the future”, there is the great attention paid to new names – they will be around 45% of the total at this edition. Here, to mention just a few, I refer to the Super Talents, the fashion designers from all over the world that once again for this edition we have selected together with Sara Maino of Vogue Talents.  All of this will be placed under the spotlight of a high impact and functional layout: the distinctive circular exhibition structure which, at each edition, has been praised for its clarity and striking layout, contributing to bringing innovation and creative stimuli to the panorama of women’s fashion fairs”.    

SUPER NUMBERS:
_ 200 brands will be presenting their new accessory and prêt-a-porter women’s collections for the 2015-16 fall-winter season
_ 30% of the brands are from abroad;
_ 60% of the collections feature accessories40% are prêt-à-porter labels;
of the 6,500 buyers who attended the last edition (+18%), 1,300 came from abroad, from Japan, Switzerland, Spain, France, Germany, Russia, South Korea, China, Greece, Belgium, Austria, Hong Kong, United States, Ukraine, United Kingdom, Holland and Sweden, representing over 40 countries.

SUPER is an accessory experience
The SUPERcool components of every outfit, accessories are indispensable elements of style, and play an important role in reworking the identities of multi-brand and department stores.  Colors and amusing plays of shapes and materials come together in a creative whirlwind of hi-tech features, retro touches and a penchant for luxury that make bags, footwear, bijous, eyewear, scarves, hats and shawls the “closely watched subjects” of each and every season.  For fall-winter 2015-16, SUPER features a selection of brands dedicated to those who want to make “research” into an essential and unique experience where the quality of the concepts is just as important as the quality of the product in terms of innovative materials and craft virtuosity.  The names at this edition include:

SUPER is a stage for new talents
SUPER is the ideal platform for presenting collections characterized by research and innovation, because scouting is its “super tool”.  In the SUPER TALENTS area, the fair turns the spotlights on the most interesting creatives on the world fashion scene and on the most promising brands that we will all be talking about soon.  The stars – selected in cooperation with Sara Maino of Vogue Italia and Vogue Talents – are both acknowledged talents and young designers who are making waves around the world with their collections and who – in addition to countries such as Italy and the United Kingdom – hail from up-and-coming places on the fashion scene like the Philippines and Nigeria. A totally new offering in styles and trends for the 2015-16 fall-winter season, from total looks to accessories to special capsule jewelry collections.  And here are the names of this edition’s Super Talents: Antpitagora, Carlo Volpi Knitwear, Ituen Basi, Ken Samudio, Charline De Luca and Vernissage Jewellery.

The Green Closet project:
focusing on 7 British brands with an eco-fashion approach
SUPER is also a dynamic receptacle for special participations and collaborations. The Green Closet - sponsored by UK Trade & Investment and the British Consulate-General - will be welcoming a selection of environmentally-sustainable British fashion brands.   The names attending: Ally Bee, Athena London, Harristocrat, Judy R Clark, Kitty Ferreira UK,  Talented and Voilà le Velo.

Super no.5 will once again feature the special presence of Made in Sicily brands
At Super, a project in cooperation with the Regione Sicilia - Assessorato alle Attività Produttive (funded by the European Union), will showcase a selection of 8 Sicilian brands that stand out for the talent of their designers and the craftsmanship of their creations.
Here are the names of the protagonists: Eugenio Vazzano, Les Fleurs Bijoux, LR 2.0 LAB, Nhivuru, Price Eco Design, Spazio IF, Vitussi and Vuedu.

Super gives a boost to INTERNATIONALIZATION
with a targeted project for incoming buyers
For the fifth edition Super continues to invest in the presence of buyers and members of the international distribution trade by organizing the attendance at the fair of a selection of top buyers from Spain, Russia, Japan, Switzerland, France, Japan, Hong Kong and the United Kingdom.
