Shanghai’s Annual Sellout Black-Tie Charity Event is back on June 14 2014
One of the highlight’s of Shanghai’s social calendar, and the sellout black-tie event of the year, Brawl on the Bund returns to Hyatt on the Bund, Saturday June 14. Guests are prepared for an exciting night of white collar boxing, champagne cheering, dancing and yet again  more money to be raised for local charity.

Now in its ninth edition over the last six years, tables at Brawl on the Bund are some of Shanghai’s hottest-selling tickets with only a select few left available for the 600 capacity crowd. This year, tables of 10 are available for Ringside (RMB 16,000) and Gold (RMB 12,000) each including a full night of entertainment, a four-course dinner and free-flow wine and beer. Ringside tables overflow with complimentary champagne up close to the action.

With regular white-collar working men and women across Shanghai without any prior boxing experience already deep in training at Golden Gloves Boxing Gym, this year’s Brawl on the Bund event promises eight match-ups and a live auction with high-value ticket items. The big fight night traditionally sees a turnout of Shanghai’s trendsetters rooting for friends and familiar faces while out for an evening of glitz, glam and charity.

One hundred percent of money from the raffle and live auction on the nights go to the local charity, Leo’s Foundation. In loving memory of Leo Spirit, The Foundation for Newborns with Respiratory Failure was established in 2008. With each donation of RMB 10,000, a newborn can be treated using the necessary state-of-the-art facilities and training at the Fudan Children’s Hospital. Since 2008, White Collar Boxing China has raised over RMB 1.5 million for charity showcasing the community spirit through each and every event.

With the already overwhelming success of the nine editions of Brawl on the Bund, last year saw the second annual Brawl on the Wall in Beijing, and 2014 will witness the first ever White Collar Boxing events in both Taiwan and Macao. Mayhem in Macao lands on July 18 at The Venetian and is part of both sponsors the Cotai Strip and Cotai Ring Club as well as White Collar Boxing China’s founder Shane Benis’ vision for promoting boxing in the region - “I want to make boxing accessible all over Asia, it’s a great sport that communities can rally around as a participant or a spectator.”

Cotai Strip and the Cotai Ring Club continue to be title sponsors of Brawl on the Bund and White Collar Boxing across the Greater China region. Shanghai’s number one bar on the Bund and longtime supporters Bar Rouge sponsors all of the boxers in the Red Corner, while the best sports medicine center in the country – American Medical Center sponsors the Blue Corner.
