Modern, light, clean, structured, higher in quality than ever before and very well attended – PREMIUM ORDER MUNICH was held at its new location, the Munich MOC, for the first time between 9 and 12 August 2014 and, without exception, the show is receiving very positive feedback from the industry. PREMIUM ORDER MUNICH enjoyed record attendance with a clear 21% increase in visitor numbers and one of the best and most comprehensive portfolios on offer.
The calm, professional atmosphere in the MOC offered ideal conditions for focused work, inspiring discussions and exchange – ideal for all those who had set up appointments in advance. The new PREMIUM show-in-show concept, in which distribution agencies present in separate areas and on stands that differ clearly in design from the others, was particularly well received. There have already been enquiries from other large German agencies. With this in mind, coming seasons will see an expansion of this concept, allowing agencies to make use of the space for ordering events outside of the trade show’s key dates, if the need arises.
In order to further improve the content of PREMIUM ORDER MUNICH, there are plans for expansion – in the medium term, the footwear and accessories sector is being extended; the late date in the trade show calendar works well with this sector’s production cycles.
The unanimously positive industry feedback confirms that concentrating on the Berlin and Munich locations was in the industry’s best interests, contributing very positively to its successful development. The success of PREMIUM ORDER MUNICH as the conclusion to the ordering season also serves to firmly establish the Munich location. Thanks to its buying power and proximity to Austria and Switzerland, the city is a significant hub and, as such, is hugely relevant for the industry.
