 PHILIPP PLEIN will unveil its first store in Hong Kong on April the 1st, on the ground floor of the renowned Entertainment Building, at the core of Hong Kong’s financial and commercial district. The Entertainment Building is a Hong Kong landmark and architectural treasure, located at the important junction of Queen’s Road Central, Wyndham Street and D’Aguilar Street. Designed and developed by Philipp Plein in conjunction with the Milanese architectural firm Aquili Alberg, the store is a showcase of originality and sophistication, thanks in part to the building’s unusual rounded floor plan. Covering an area of 180 square meters the store features sections dedicated to men’s and women’s clothing, shoes and accessories. In keeping with the global architectural concept of all PHILIPP PLEIN mono-brand stores, the design is minimalist yet rich, thanks to the extensive use of precious materials and exquisite workmanship, all in blocks of white, black and grey, with glossy and matte finishes, and contrasting areas of light and shadow. The essential sparkling Murano glass chandeliers and the macro-skull studded with CRYSTALLIZED™ - Swarovski Elements symbolize PHILIPP PLEIN’s ironic and unconventional style. THE DESIGNER STATES:
"I decided to invest in Asia and open my Hong Kong showroom exactly two years ago, even though there wasn't any guarantee of success. Since then the expansion in Asia has been astonishing , and I'm happy to say that Asia now represents over 30% of our annual turnover. I am both proud and overjoyed to announce the inauguration of our flagship store in the heart of Hong Kong, one of Asia's most stimulating and dynamic cities."
