On December 12, 2014, the Fondation Cartier pour l’art contemporain and 89plus will present a Nomadic Night entitled Nouvelles Expériences en Art et Technologie (NEAT), which will unveil projects created by nine artists in 2014 during residencies curated by 89plus at the Google Cultural Institute Lab.
89plus presents: Nouvelles Expériences en Art et Technologie (NEAT) is the first public presentation of the work created by the 89plus residencies at the Google Cultural Institute. An ephemeral set design has been specifically created for the event by the Italian architect, Alessandro Bava. Entitled SUPER SURFACE, this flat environment is a diffuse workspace where all of the nine residents will be showing their work. Simon Castets and Hans Ulrich Obrist will be present during the evening and will conduct interviews every 15 minutes with all nine residents. There will also be several performances by fellow 89plus practitioners throughout the evening.
An accompanying booklet distributed during the event will include an interview between Hans Ulrich Obrist and Billy Klüver, as well as interviews with the exhibiting artists and photographs of their projects.
