Amy Concannon, co-curator of The EY Exhibition: Late Turner – Painting Set Free. Turner reached the age of sixty in 1835 but rather than slowing down he energetically reinvented and refreshed his practice, producing his most radical and controversial works. We are very excited to be showing a full spectrum of Turner's work from the final sixteen years of his life, from tiny pocket sketchbooks through to glittering watercolours and the ethereal canvases that he left behind, unfinished, in his studio.
