15:26MAN ABOUT TOWN – A NEW HOPE – OUT NOW by @wonderlandmagazine
As Ben Reardon explains in his Editor’s letter, for this issue of Man About Town the team have been “thinking about the beauty of sexuality in its rawest form” and how this is paralleled both on the runway and in London town. From London’s gentrification, the shutdown of six of the capital’s counterculture night-spaces, to J.W.Anderson the gender-blur provocateur who’s proving to be the designer of his generation – the issue explores the “new fluidity of post-digital sexuality and gender discourse”.
Elsewhere in the issue Terry Richardson shoots Shamir Bailey, 2015’s bright pop plaything, Grace Wales Bonner’s marvelously modern menswear takes centre stage, hip-hop duo Rae Sremmurd are ready to bash your eardrums, Ed Marler dresses London’s most exciting faces, Dean Mayo Davies demystifies The Goob’s Liam Walpole and platinum pinup Gia Genevieve proves she’s got the best assets in town.
When it comes to fashion, there’s work by Alasdair McLellan, Olivier Rizzo, Willy Vanderperre and Gosha Rubchinskiy to feast your eyes on before you come to the Final Fantasy. Full frontal nudity shot by McLellan, there’s a naked cover too. As Ben Reardon says in his opening statement: “It is about the simple distinction between hot and not. And just maybe… not, is hot.”
