Luxury accessories designer, Corto Moltedo, entitles his Fall’14 collection, Lady Liberty, his
artistic ode to freedom.
The theme of duplicity flows through the collection, pieces morphing through cleverly crafted fastenings and detailing. A perennial pioneer of colour, his palette for this season comprises of greens in dark olive and military, rose-gold and bronze and sky blue.
The eponymous bag of the collection, Liberty, takes the shape of a chic and petite shoulder bag, in contrasting olive eel and black calf, with minimal approach to detailing in the crown like diagonal stitching. Corto’s covetable and compact offerings come in rose-gold python Tiffany with shoulder strap and the retro camera bag Theodora; complete with a playful tassel and the ‘C’ and Star stamp.
Moltedo’s signature Susan clutch has many incarnations for Fall and is red-carpet ready! Touches of Deco embellishment feature on olive green and rose gold python. The Susan Shock is smothered in jet beads, clasped in mother of pearl or malachite. Corto also debuts the ‘Hudson’, a ‘show and tell’ structured day-bag. It’s vibrant and polarising flashes of colour are the perfect antidote to the winter-blues.
