Join #SuzyMenkes and luxury business and creative leaders in Florence
Join 500 of the luxury and fashion industry’s elite in Florence, Italy, on April 22-23, 2015, at the first Condé Nast International Luxury Conference.
Curated and hosted by Suzy Menkes, International Vogue Editor, the Conference – titled “Hard Luxury” – will bring together a diverse mix of world-class speakers from both the creative and business sides of the luxury industry. "“Hard Luxury” refers to both the traditional description of high end watches and jewellery, and to the fact that it is tough out there in the global marketplace. Luxury today is as much about high tech as high heels.”
Suzy Menkes, International Vogue Editor
The Conference will be held under the patronage of the City of Florence’s Mayor, Dario Nardella, in the historic Salone dei Cinquecento, part of the Palazzo Vecchio. In halls decorated by the artists of the Renaissance, and which served as the seat of power of the Medicis, top names from the luxury industry will explore how the concept of luxury is evolving, and the challenge of succeeding in this new and highly competitive world. As well as watches and jewellery, the conference will look at leather goods, new technology and modern fabrics.
Topics to be covered include:
How technology is reshaping luxury
The battle for the share of the luxury consumer’s wallet
New luxury business models and opportunities
Hard-edged design for a hard future
Sustainability: Beyond a luxury
