|FuoriDiTaste is the “off-site” part of TASTE, the Pitti Immagine event now in its tenth edition that has become the key rendezvous for Italy – and the world – in the realm of quality food.|
An event-within-the-event, FuoriDiTaste is held in parallel with the fair and each time it lights up Florence and its most famous places with dinners, themed tasting sessions, installations, shows, creative performances, debates and many other new and enjoyable ways of looking at food and taste. The packed calendar – there were more than 150 events at the last edition – brings together an ever greater number of programs: events that allow the “audience” to experience the myriad links connecting food, art, design and fashion.
Here is a selection of this edition’s events:
Thursday 5th March
_ ECCELLENZE ITALIANE [ITALIAN EXCELLENCES]
(From 10.00 a.m. to 11.00 p.m., Bar Reverse, Borgo Albizi, 78r)
On the occasion of Taste, from lunch to aperitif time, at the new Reverse bar, it will be possible to taste the products of TortaPistocchi® Firenze, as well as the fish delicacies of Friultrota.

_LA FORMULA DEL GUSTO 10: OBICA' = 10:TASTE
(From 12.00 to 3.00 p.m. and from 7.00 to 10.00 p.m., Obicà Firenze, Via de' Tornabuoni, 16)
10 Italian excellences to mark 10 years of Taste. With a special menu, Obicà will present 10 products of excellence that will be featured every day: Caseificio La Bufalat, Paolo Petrilli, Iasa, Molino Quaglia, Pastificio Gentile, Azienda Agricola Cinzia Ceci, Antica Ardenga, Salumificio Santoro, Azienda Vinicola Marchesi Mazzei, Relanghe con Azienda Vinicola Ceretto. Obicà and its excellences will also be the protagonists of the event 10 PRODUTTORI DA 10 E LODE! [10 PRODUCERS WITH 10 OUT OF 10 – FULL MARKS!], Friday 6th March at 8.00 p.m.: a trip from north to south Italy, with a special tasting menu.
_LA MORTADELLA FUOR D'ACQUA: LA MACELLERIA MANNORI E ORIZZONTI DEL PESCATORE NELLE MANI DELLO CHEF ANDREA CAMPANI [MORTADELLA OUT OF THE WATER: MACELLERIA MANNORI AND RIZZONTI DEL PESCATORE IN THE HANDS OF CHEF ANDREA CAMPANI]
(From12.30 to 10.30 p.m., Il Borro Tuscan Bistro, Lungarno Acciaiuoli, 80r)
Chef Andrea Campani proposes a tasting menu featuring products from the Macelleria Mannori and from Orizzonti del Pescatore, creating three different dishes matched with wines from Il Borro. To be repeated on Saturday 7th March.
_PUTTIN' ON THE FOUR SEASONS - GOOD DRINKS AND HAPPY FEET
(From 6.00 to 10.00 p.m., Lobby of the Four Seasons Hotel, Borgo Pinti, 99)
The lobby of the Four Seasons Hotel in Florence is transformed into a 30s-40s hotel ballroom, for special FuoridiTaste aperitifs. Accompanied by musical entertainment, mixologist Luca Angeli will be proposing old-style cocktails prepared using natural liqueurs by Essentiae Liquoreria Ligure - Opificio del Gusto. To be repeated on Friday 6th March.
_ CINTA... DI QUESTI GIORNI

With an aperitif and tasting session reinterpreted in a contemporary key, the quality and great tradition of Renieri Cinta Senese pork will be the protagonist at Il Santino.
_APERITIFS AND PRESENTATION OF THE FOOD STUDIO 2015 COURSES
(From 7 to 10 p.m., Scuola di Cucina Food Studio, Via dell'Ardiglione, 39r)
The Food Studio cookery school offers aperitifs and a chance to sample products prepared by the school’s chefs. Participants can visit the school and learn about the various initiatives planned for the spring-summer 2015 season.
Friday 6th March
_IL CENACOLO DEL GUSTO: BORGO OGNISSANTI VA FUORI DI TASTE!
A special tasty itinerary will bring Borgo Ognissanti to life, involving the boutiques Kartell, Tela Lintea, Galletti Shop and Vinoutlet, with tastings of cheeses, chocolate, patisserie and excellent wines.
TELA LINTEA, Borgo Ognissanti, 56r, from 6.00 to 8.30 p.m.
Tela Lintea Firenze will be presenting the typical Piedmont cheeses of Castelmagno from the family-run company La Meiro - Terre di Castelmagno. Plus, organic cakes and biscuits from Opera Waiting.
KARTELL, Borgo Ognissanti, 52r, from 6.00 to 8.00 p.m.
A special tasting session organized by Kartell in cooperation with TortaPistocchi® and Azienda Agricola Ivaldi Dario.
And on Saturday 7th March:
GALLETTISHOP, from 11.00 a.m. to 7.30 p.m., Borgo Ognissanti, 62r
The protagonists of the tasting session are the Biscotti delle Nonne di San Frediano [The Biscuits of the Grandmas of San Frediano]: where tradition has no rivals. Plus the Easter cake from Filippi Panettoni which contains absolutely no butter or milk by-products,.
VINOUTLET from 12.30 to 9.00 p.m., Borgo Ognissanti, 70r
Vinoutlet will host tastings of cheeses and patisseries matched with wines and artisan beers featuring: Loison Pasticceria Artigianale dal 1938, Caseificio Fattoria Buca Nuova Pienza, Artisan beer Almond '22, Chianti Rufina DOCG Villa Travignoli and Moscato d'Asti DOCG from Azienda Agricola 499.
(From 6.00 to 11.00 p.m., Arà: is Sicily, Via degli Alfani, 127r)
Arà and Petra - Molino Quaglia will take their guests to Sicily through a journey of flavors and fragrances: the Pizzola di Pantalica, the Panino Monsù and a choice between a Sicilian cannolo or a portion of Sicilian cassata. To be repeated on Saturday 7th March.
Ditta Artigianale, Via dei Neri, 32r
During Taste, Ditta Artigianale, the Florence gin bar, proposes ginspiration, special tastings of gin: it will be possible to sample over 100 gins that have been selected and originate from all over the world. The cocktails will be accompanied by a selection of tapas prepared with fresh and seasonal ingredients.
_PEPERONCINO O ZENZERO: UN DILEMMA TOSCANO [CHILLI PEPPER OR GINGER: A TUSCAN DILEMMA]
(At 7.00 p.m., Scuola di Arte Culinaria Cordon Bleu, Via Giusti, 7)
The Cordon Bleu School of Culinary Art in Florence, in the new headquarters of Palazzo Panciatichi Ximenex, proposes a spicy culinary journey in the company of Peperita: from the historic and anthropological culture of the chilli pepper, to a cooking show to prepare a typical Tuscan dish enriched with extra-virgin olive oil from Il Cavallino and various types of chilli pepper.

_RISOTTO CON VISTA [RISOTTO WITH A VIEW]
(At 7.30 p.m., Hotel Ville Sull'Arno - Ristorante Flora e Fauno, Lungarno Cristoforo Colombo 1)
Principato di Lucedio rice meets the wines of Castello di Sonnino in a dish created by the chef of the Ristorante Flora e Fauno. Elisabetta Rogai, the artist who paints with wine, will be present with one of her works.
_ MEAT THE CALVANA!
(From 7.30 to 9.00 p.m., CUCO Cucina Contemporanea, Via del Melarancio, 4)
The menu of CUCO Cucina Contemporanea includes Calvana beef from the Macelleria Mannori in the company of the Pregiata Forneria Lenti and its black olive Colomba cakes with pumpkin and coffee, figs and chocolate.
_UNA SERATA “ECCELLENTE” [AN “EXCELLENT” EVENING]
(At 8.00 p.m., Ristorante & Winebar Frescobaldi, Via dei Magazzini, 2r)
Frescobaldi meets Caviale Calvisius caviar: on the occasion of Taste, a “limited edition” tasting-supper accompanied by Frescobaldi wines. And again on Saturday 7th, Sunday 8th and Monday 9th March, from 12.00 to 2.00 p.m., with the Pasta Fuori di Testa event: the Ristorante Frescobaldi and Pasta Michele Portoghese will present a special menu.
_50 SFUMATURE DI RISO [50 SHADES OF RICE]

A special tasting of Gli Aironi risottos, accompanied by a selection of oils and dried fruits from Pariani.
_FUORI DI CINTA: SUA MAESTA' LA CINTA SENESE E IL CHIANTI CLASSICO DI COLLE BERETO [HER MAJESTY CINTA SENESE PORK AND COLLE BERETO CHIANTI CLASSICO]

The historic Trattoria Da Burde hosts a special evening starring Cinta Senese fresh and cold pork meats from the Salumificio Renieri and Colle Bereto wines from Radda in Chianti.

TRE FORME D'OLIO FRANTOIO DI SANT'AGATA VERSIONE TAPAS [TAPAS VERSION OF THREE FORMS OF FRANTOIO DI SANT'AGATA OIL ]

At the Ristorante Ora d'Aria a tapas menu d’auteur with forms of oil and olives from the Frantoio di Sant'Agata D’Oneglia. Plus an event: SIAMO TUTTI FUORI DI TEIST!- from 2nd to 7th March, Marco Stabile, the chef of L'Ora d'Aria, along with Molino Quaglia, proposes a special menu featuring pasta, bread, oil and black truffles in a whirlwind of flavors and consistencies.
_HAVE A TEA-STE!
La Strega Nocciola Gelateria Artigianale, Via dei Bardi, 51r
Nose and palate, tea in an ice cream parlor, a tasting game for curious professionals and the professional curious. Strega Nocciola and the Master Ice-cream-maker Simone Catolfi propose a tasting session of ice-creams and sorbets based on mixtures of La Via del Tè.
Libreria Todo Modo, Via dei Fossi, 15r
The architect/food designer duo FOOD CIRCUS will animate Todo Modo, the new bookshop-café-theater, recreating the fantastic universe of the circus to celebrate the Pasticceria Avidano. Biscuits, jellies and Colomba cakes will be offered in a timeless atmosphere featuring a fire-eater, a weight-lifter and dancing elephants..
_IL MACARON - ICONICO PASTICCINO FRANCESE DAI GUSTI SEMPRE NUOVI [THE MACARON – ICONIC FRENCH CAKES WITH EVER-NEW FLAVORS ]

Boutique Nadine and Jardins Divers offer a unique sensorial experience surrounded by herbs, flowers and mini-vegetables from the Dutch company Koppert Cress, innovative artisan beers from Birra del Borgo and sweet delicacies from D. Barbero.
_SWEETGALLERY DOLCE E NERO IN GALLERIA
Galleria Romanelli, Borgo San Frediano, 70
The Galleria Romanelli hosts the Torrefazione OKE and a tasting session of Arabica and Robusta quality coffees along with the Biscotti delle Nonne di San Frediano, born from the passion of the Cozzi family and hand-baked by the Forno Vannini.
_GIANDUIA 1865: CAFFAREL CHOCOLATE SHOW
(At 530 p.m., Enoteca Alessi, via delle Oche, 27r)
The ambassadors of Caffarel chocolate will present a chocolate show with tastings, samples and live cooking. The theme of the Gianduia 1865 rendezvous is the authentic Gianduiotto di Torino invented by Caffarel, that is currently celebrating its 150th anniversary.

An aperitif and grand buffet at the Hotel Bernini Palace: starring Cinta Senese pork matched with Colle Bereto wines.
