As some of our savvy CR Fashion Book readers might have guessed, our Issue 6 “Fantasy Ad” campaign for Uniqlo was a precursor to some very major news. After months of holding onto this secret, we’re so proud and excited to announce that the Carine Roitfeld x Uniqlo collection will be available in Uniqlo stores worldwide and online at the end of October 2015. We can’t reveal any sneak peeks or collection details just yet (will there be Heattech?), but you can bet that Carine’s approach to quality clothing at an affordable price will be unlike anything you’ve ever shopped for.

In collaboration with Uniqlo Design Director Naoki Takizawa, Carine will bring her strong fashion influence and French touch to around 40 items within the Japanese fashion brand’s ‘LifeWear’ collection. This means that you’ll no longer have to resort to turning your Uniqlo shopping bag into a pencil skirt, because there’s a good chance that silhouette will be among Carine’s offerings.“Creating new clothing within the Uniqlo LifeWear concept is a great challenge,” Carine says. “I started from the idea of clothes that I would want to wear myself and developed this into clothes that anyone would want to wear, a woman’s ideal of clothes that make her feel transformed when she wears them.” More specifics will be revealed in the coming months.
