OPEN CALL: CAMPUS ART DUBAI
Campus Art Dubai (CAD) is now accepting applications for its third iteration, launching in October 2014. CAD is an art school for artists, curators, writers, designers and cultural producers based in the UAE.
The school runs two membership programmes: Community, providing monthly workshops, talks and events for artists and enthusiasts; and Core, an intensive six-month course, which includes group critiques, seminars and one-on-one mentorship sessions for a small group of 15 participants.
CAD 3.0's lead tutors are anthropologist Uzma Z Rizvi and curator/critic Murtaza Vali.
Campus Art Dubai is held in partnership with the Dubai Culture and Arts Authority and supported by d3 Dubai Design District.
ART DUBAI PROJECTS 2015 CURATOR: LARA KHALDI
Art Dubai Projects 2015 will be curated by Lara Khaldi. A graduate of the de Appel curatorial programme in Amsterdam, Khaldi held the position of Assistant Director for programmes at Sharjah Art Foundation and more recently was director of Khalil Sakakani Cultural Centre in Ramallah.
Art Dubai Projects is a not-for-profit programme of new commissions featuring both established and upcoming artists from across the Middle East and Asia.
In her role as curator, Khaldi will also be overseeing A.i.R Dubai, an annual residency programme which gives international and UAE-based artists the opportunity to be based in Al Fahidi, Dubai, for three months and to produce site-specific works for Art Dubai Projects.
CONTEMPORARY 2015 CURATOR: KATE FOWLE
Kate Fowle is Guest Curator on Art Dubai's 2015 Contemporary Selection Committee. Comprised of gallerists and guest curators, the committee reviews and selects galleries based on the curatorial strength of a gallery's exhibition programme and submitted proposal.
70 galleries are selected to participate in Art Dubai's 2015 Contemporary halls, alongside the curated gallery programmes Marker and Modern.
Fowle is currently chief curator for Garage Center for Contemporary Culture in Moscow and Director-at-Large at Independent Curators International (ICI) in New York.

CAMPUS ART DUBAI 3.0 CORE PROGRAMME
CAD 3.0's Core programme is themed around ideas of time, attention and the construction of heritage. Core Participants will be able to present their work for peer review and benefit from dedicated mentoring as well as opportunities for exhibitions, fellowships and scholarships on completion of the six-month course. Participants will also work towards a collective group project relating to the programme's themes, to be launched at Art Dubai 2015.

A.I.R DUBAI: OPEN CALL FOR UAE-BASED ARTISTS
Applications are currently open for A.i.R Dubai, the annual residency programme run by the Dubai Culture and Arts Authority, Tashkeel, Delfina Foundation and Art Dubai.
Four artists from the UAE will be selected for the three month residency in Al Fahidi, and will be commissioned to create site-specific works as part of Art Dubai Projects.
