However, Adiree and our definition of luxury isn’t limited to the product but involves the quality of lives involved in the production process." The partnership with Pikolinos showcases the essence of products made in Africa, and the luxury of it- minus the insatiable focus on Africa as a charity, says Adiat Disu, Director of Adiree.  The pop-up shop event will give both, Adirée and Pikolinos , and all
other AFW designers an opportunity to meet one on one with potential
customers and foster potential US business relations with industry
leaders . The event will also aid in promoting this year's AFW 2013
designers scheduled for July 15-20. Over the past few years, the fashion
industry has begun to take a liking to African fashion, including
online publications Raine Magazine, print publications Black Enterprise,
ELLE magazine-the world's largest selling magazine publication, which
has ultimately contributed to the growth of AFW and the African fashion

AFW proclaimed by Mayor Michael Bloomberg of New York City- includes
runway shows hosting designers from various countries in Africa and
those of the African Diaspora, exhibitions, and industry networking
