 Adiree Public Relations and Communications (Adiree), May 3rd in Lagos, Nigeria at the Intercontinental Hotel, Kofo Abayomi Street – Plot 52, Victoria Island, 100001 at the Women: Inspiration & Enterprise (WIE) Africa Symposium– prior to the World Economic Forum Africa will launch its’ Public Relations & Communications panel “With Style and Strategy: Positioning Africa Globally through Public Relations and Communications” (Positioning Africa Globally) moderated and curated by Adiat Gbemisola Folashade Disu, CEO of Adiree.
WIE Africa is an inspirational annual conference and community designed to empower the next generation of women leaders. WIE, which stands for Women: Inspiration and Enterprise, first launched in 2010 in New York and is a dynamic gathering of women leaders sharing their stories and working together to achieve social change. Over the years, WIE has attracted an incredible lineup of speakers including Graca Machel, Donna Karan, Isha Sesay, Tyra Banks, Melinda Gates, Diane von Furstenberg, Nancy Pelosi, Jill Biden, Cherie Blair, Precious Motsepe, Baroness Valerie Amos, Ted Turner, Alek Wek and Iman.
Following their launch in Cape Town last year, founder Dee Poku chose the vibrant city of Lagos for the second annual WIE Africa to take place. Joining founder Dee Poku as hosts, are philanthropist Toyin Saraki, renowned designer Folake Folarin Coker, media personality Julie Gichuru and talk show host Mo Abudu (Crowed the Oprah of Africa, by CNN ). Registrations begins From 8:30am to 9:20am WAT, participants will learn from African and Global expatriates and repatriates about the growing economies and lucrative natural resources, Africa is poised to host, thus regarded as a player on the global stage. However, a conscience review of how constituents are to control and manage economic development, as well as interact with global partners on the world stage.
Participants will also hear what it takes to be a truly effective leader in a global economy and hear from inspiring visionaries on the theme: “Bridging The Gap – The Global Leader”. From finance to fashion, media to entrepreneurship.
