The young brand Garrett Leight California Optical, established in 2010, is revered for its resurgence of classic silhouettes, combining both skilled craftsmanship and the use of vintage materials. A few styles in LN-CC’s buy this season are produced with custom made cellulose acetate and feature coloured metal hinges, plaques with polarised lenses. Garrett Leight has also collaborated with with Mark McNairy this spring, these pieces are reminiscent of classic American sunglasses designs celebrated over the last century. The frames are crafted from gold or silver coloured, narrow metal wire and the semi-rimless lenses have a metallic, mirror quality, that creates a sharp contrast to their vintage design.
