ABOUT OSCAR TIYE

The brand was launched in the Spring of 2013 by it’s founders Amina Muaddi and her business partner, Irina Curutz. The design details, reminiscent of the delicate architecture of the mosques, lead to elaborate mixes and sophisticated patchworks of leathers. Inspired by carpet patterns, painted glass and ceramics of the byzantine world that are transformed into bold designs that skillfully mix opulence and minimalism. The result is a sleek and sophisticated collection. All Oscar Tiye shoes have a special inner sole with a padded cushion that gives extra comfort to the wearer.  The stylized logo of the brand represents a scarab - a sacred symbol, a lucky charm and bearer of happy events and adorns  the bottom of every shoe.
