FUNDarte and Artes Miami present: Gema Corredera and her all-star Cuban jazz band at the closing night of Global Cuba Fest, Saturday night, April 6th at 8:00 p.m. at Miami-Dade County Auditorium. Appearing direct from Havana as Global Cuba Fest's special guest is renowned singer-composer Marta Valdés, one of Cuba’s legendary musical icons. Performing with Gema is the all-star Cuban jazz band from her new solo album, Derramando Luz (Spreading Light): Yosvany Terry, Yunior Terry, Obed Calvaire, Alfredo Chacon and Osmany Paredes. Appearing on backup vocals are renowned singers Julio Fowler, Lesley Cartaya, Carlos Diaz and Yisel Duque. Corredera returns to the stage as a solo artist with a brand new sound, a brand new band and a startling new album: Derramando Luz.
