Appointment of Paul Burke as Managing Director of Galeries Lafayette China

| One year after the opening of their first flagship store in Beijing, Galeries Lafayette announce the appointment of Paul Burke as Managing Director of Galeries Lafayette China, the joint venture set up with IT Limited, a Chinese specialist distribution brand based in Hong Kong mode, to support the development of Galeries Lafayette in China. Paul Burke is attached to Nicolas Houze, Managing Director of Galeries Lafayette and BHV MARAIS, and Sham Kar Wai, chairman of IT Limited. This appointment is effective September 1, 2014. As part of his duties, Paul Burke will be responsible for the management and development of 40.000m2 flagship store in Beijing, and support the deployment of other targeted store openings planned by China Galeries Lafayette in the country. Paul Burke is a specialist in the retailing business, consumer goods and department stores, benefiting from 25 years of international experience in these areas, including the last 15 years in Asia. During his career, Paul Burke held various operational positions within groups Adidas, Luxxotica or ASWatson for the Asia-Pacific region. Since January 2014, he worked for Lane Crawford, the prestigious chain of department stores of Hong Kong origin.
