| Rolls-Royce Motor revelou a final das três imagens de colaboração da empresa em um ano de duração com o renomado fotógrafo Rankin. As imagens completaram a comissão de 100 fotografias inspiradas pelo Espírito de Êxtase - um dos símbolos mais famosos do mundo, uma beleza incorporada, verdadeiro ícone, luxo, estilo e elegância e que tem graciosamente adornado a proa de Rolls-Royce entre carros passado e presente. O conto por trás da criação do Espírito de Êxtase é um glamour, mistério e intrigante, que começou quando Lord Montagu, fundador do The Car Illustrated, encomendou ao artista residente, Charles Sykes para esculpir um mascote para o seu 1909 Rolls-Royce Silver Ghost. O jogador final e mais importante nesta história é Eleanor Thornton Valesco. No ano em que comemora o centenário do Espírito de Êxtase, Rolls-Royce oferecido à Rankin, dá-lhe a licença completa e artística para criar uma interpretação moderna e muito pessoal de A Dama Voadora. É justo que ao final três imagens são baseadas em The Whisperer, o mais antigo e mais pessoal de figurinhas Charles Sykes ', que incluem um dedo de confidenciais para os lábios, que se acredita ser um aceno sly ao sigilo longo affair Montagu de amor de 10 anos com Eleanor Thornton. Como mostra Rankin na fotografia, mesmo 100 anos depois. Rolls-Royce Motor Cars has today unveiled the final three images from the company’s year-long collaboration with renowned photographer Rankin. The images complete the commission of 100 photographs inspired by the Spirit of Ecstasy – one of the world’s most famous symbols, a true icon embodying beauty, luxury, style and elegance and which has gracefully adorned the prow of Rolls-Royce cars past and present. The tale behind the creation of the Spirit of Ecstasy is one of mystery, glamour and intrigue which began when Lord Montagu, founder of The Car Illustrated, commissioned resident artist, Charles Sykes to sculpt a mascot for his 1909 Rolls-Royce Silver Ghost. The final and most important player in this story is Eleanor Valesco Thornton, Lord Montagu’s close personal secretary and lover from whose image this very British legend is believed to originate. In the year that celebrates the centenary of the Spirit of Ecstasy, Rolls-Royce offered Rankin full artistic license to create a modern and very personal interpretation of The Flying Lady. It’s fitting that the final three images are based on The Whisperer, the earliest and most personal of Charles Sykes’ figurines which include a confidential finger to the lips, believed to be a sly nod to the long secrecy of Montagu’s 10 year love affair with Eleanor Thornton.
